EYFS In the potting shed

Pupils will join our experts in the plant nursery to find out about how plants grow from seed, and will take their potted seeds back to school to watch them grow.

45 minutes

Allocated space

30 pupils per group

Visit the potting shed and identify common equipment used by our horticulturalists.

Pupils will find out what plants need to germinate and grow, and have a go at planting their own seed. The potted seeds can be taken back to school where they can be observed and their growth recorded.

Add two of our 45 minute activities to build a full day visit.
