Overview

Be inspired by nature and discover the unique and diverse world of plants in our collections.

Connect with nature through creative exploration, develop new techniques for observational drawings and sculpt your own 3-D forms using a natural material. 

This session will be delivered outside in the Gardens. 

Learning outcomes

Pupils will be able to:

  • Use a range of techniques to record observations of plant structures using drawing and making techniques.
  • Increase their proficiency in the handling of new and familiar materials to create 2D and 3D artwork based on Kew’s plant collections and natural environment.
  • Analyse, describe and evaluate their own work, and that of others, in order to strengthen the visual impact or applications of their work.

We will ensure the learning outcomes focus on the year group taking part.
