Overview
Pupils gain an immersive experience exploring the amazing variety of plants in Kew’s magnificent grounds.
Using first-hand experience, observations and through asking questions students can discover and unlock the mysteries of these wonderfully diverse plants and their adaptations to their habitats.
This session will take place partly outdoors in the Gardens, with elements in one of our glasshouses.
Learning outcomes
Pupils will be able to:
- Describe the conditions of different habitats, using appropriate vocabulary.
- Identify where different habitats are found in the world.
- Explain how plants are suited to their habitat.
- Recognise why plants are important and how animals and people depend on them.
We will ensure the learning outcomes focus on the year group taking part.
