Overview

What is a seed? Why do they come in so many different shapes and sizes? How do plants grow from seeds and stay healthy? Investigate the answers in fun, practical and exploratory based learning activities.

Learning outcomes 

Pupils will be able to: 

  • Observe, compare and sort a variety of seeds.
  • Investigate, explain and describe what seeds and plants need to grow, mature and stay healthy.
  • Identify different parts of a plant.
  • Explore the life cycle of plants.

We will ensure the learning outcomes focus on the year group taking part.
