Elizabeth Woodgyer

As Preserved Collections Manager, I am responsible for the administration of the Herbarium, Fungarium and Spirit Collection specimen transactions. I support the Head of Collections in the development of collections management policies and procedures to ensure that the collections are well curated and accessible to support research into key questions in plant and fungal science.

I act as a source of information and advice on curatorial protocols and curation techniques, coordinate pest control, act as CITES liaison officer and ensure compliance to legislation including access and benefit sharing regulations.

I have expertise in Neotropical Melastomataceae with a particular interest in the genus Microlicia.
