Bring the whole family together to join in with our fun-filled forest skills workshop at Wakehurst.
There'll be a wide range of nature-based crafts and games, including:
- our creative craft area for jewellery making, stick weaving and tribal painting
- our tree ID challenge and family scavenger hunt in the wild woods
Learn traditional fire lighting techniques, make your own charcoal and get cosy around the campfire for some wild cooking and story-telling.
Important information
- Suitable for children 5 years and above.
- This is a family forest skills workshop so an Adult ticket is required alongside a Child ticket.
- Due to the nature of the activities, we can only facilitate up to two children per adult.
- Meet in the Visitor Centre with enough time for the workshop to begin promptly.
- The day will be spent in the woods based around a campfire for heating and cooking.
- The event will go ahead whatever the weather unless it is deemed unsafe to do so.
- Please ensure you dress for the weather and bring waterproof clothing and sturdy outdoor footwear.
