Systematics, taxonomy, phylogenetics, biogeography, Compositae.
My taxonomic research focuses upon the Compositae (Asteraceae) family with a particular interest for the tribe Vernonieae. Before joining the team, I have worked in Brazil for 15 years. I am interested in systematics, taxonomy, phylogenetics, evolution and biogeography of plant families. I am the editor of Flora Zambesiaca and writing up the Compositae with Nicholas Hind.
