Please noteFrom Sunday 5 February to Saturday 24 March Kew Gardens will close each day at 5.30pm. The Rhizotron and Xstrata Treetop Walkway will be closed from 16 January to 2 March for essential maintenance to the lift and walkway. Tree planting and horticultural maintenance will also be undertaken in the surrounding area during this period. Please note that the Palm House will be closing early at 2.00pm each Tuesday afternoon until further notice. |

Don't miss
Evolution House
A gift from the Australian Government, and initially used to display the flora of the southern continent, Kew's Evolution House today leads visitors on a journey through Earth’s history. It shows how geology and plants evolved through time, from 3.5 billion years ago to the present day.
Marine Display
The Marine Display is housed in the basement of the Palm House, recreating four major marine habitats, emphasising the importance of marine plants.
Berberis Dell
This was created between 1869 and 1875. It was once a gravel pit and is Kew's third-biggest excavation after the Lake and Rhododendron Dell.
Rock Garden
Kew dabbled in creating small rock features during the mid-19th century but only constructed a substantial rock garden in 1882.
Plants in Peril exhibition

Marianne North Gallery
Born in Hastings in 1830, Marianne North devoted her life to travelling the world and painting plants.
