Content digitisation for Plants of the World Online.
My role is to mark-up and digitise content for the Plants of the World Online (POWO) portal. POWO is a core science objective for Kew and is a high profile, successful project. The main aim of POWO is to develop a user friendly, accessible interfaces to the portal to attract and support non-expert users.
I am responsible for the identification of key science content, content mobilisation through mark-up and digitisation and gathering and authenticating texts, data, images etc. for importing into the POWO portal.
