On this mini trail at Wakehurst, help Superworm find nutritional microbes in our soil that support healthy plants and fungi.

Wriggle like a worm through our bespoke tunnels, encountering the Mighty Microbes and their incredible superpowers - from jumping Springtails to teeny tiny Nematodes. Can you catch the whole gang and prepare some magical soil for Wakehurst plant roots to grow? 

Complete this mission to collect your Superworm badge and add it to your Nature Heroes cape.

Important information

  • The event will go ahead in all weathers so please be prepared rain or shine.
  • Prebooking advised for the mission. Adults do not need a ticket, unless they want to complete the activity and receive a badge.
  • All children must be accompanied by an adult for this trail.
  • Please note, dogs are not allowed on the Superworm trail (including the mighty microbes mission).
  • Ticket does not include entry to the gardens or car-parking for the day.
