Join us to improve your creative writing skills and be inspired by the beautiful surroundings of Wakehurst.
Explore our wild botanic garden and draw on what you see and feel in your writing.
Notepads, pens, post it notes, props, and colourful card will fire up your imagination to create a beautiful piece of writing to be proud of.
Your workshop leader will give you inspiration from poets and songwriters, visual arts and music.
Everyone will be offered individual support and there is no pressure to read out any of the work you create.
About the tutor
Ellen de Vries is a creative workshop leader who has facilitated workshops all over the world. She facilitates the exploration of language and words in all environments and for all ages.
Ellen has an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice from Central School of Speech and Drama, MA in Creative Writing, Nottingham, a BA Hons in Cultural Studies, Norwich and CELTA Cambridge English Language Teaching to Adults.
