Spring flowers at Wakehurst

Gardens open 10am – 6pm (last entry 5.30pm)

Open until one hour before the gardens close (last entry half an hour before):

  • The Millennium Seed Bank

Cafés and restaurants

Open 10am – 5pm:

  • The Stables restaurant (near the Mansion)

Lunch served 11.45am – 2.30pm

Open 10am – 5.15pm:

  • Seed Café (Inside the Visitor Centre)

Disposable coffee cups

From 1 March 2019 visitors and staff will be charged 15p for a disposable coffee cup at all Wakehurst’s catering outlets. There is substantial evidence that paying for a cup is a more compelling method of changing habits than receiving a discount which is quickly forgotten. A charge creates an incentive to find a more financially sustainable alternative, reducing the amount of disposable packaging used. In much the same way that people now often carry a bag-for-life to avoid the 5p plastic bag levy, we hope that the new charge will reduce our environmental impact and positively reflect our commitment to sustainability.

Closures

Wakehurst is closed 24 and 25 December 2019.

Sometimes we have to close certain attractions or venues for maintenance or unforeseen circumstances. Please check to avoid disappointment.
