Pupils will follow a sensory trail around the gardens. They will learn to describe what they see, hear, smell and feel, and explore natural materials such as seeds, cones and leaves. 

Add two of our 45 minute activities to build a full day visit. Recommended activities are Sense-ational, Art in the garden and In the potting shed.

Learning Outcomes

We design our sessions to match the learning outcomes in the EYFS National Curriculum. All our sessions have a cross-curricular approach and are tailored to suit the educational needs of your group.  

This session offers pupils the opportunity to: 

  • Listen to and follow instructions.

  • Walk and cooperate in groups. 

  • Explore and observe the natural surroundings through the senses.

  • Talk about their findings.

  • Enrich and broaden language.

  • Listen for sounds in nature.

  • Explore a wide range of natural material.
