Duration

45 minutes

Allocated space

30 pupils per group

Inspired by the natural surroundings at Wakehurst and through examples of artists’ designs, pupils work in groups and explore their own ideas to produce ephemeral works of art using collected parts of plants and trees.

Through role play pupils open their temporary gallery, talk about their art and record it with photographs.

Learning outcomes

We design our sessions to match the learning outcomes in the national curriculum. All our sessions have a cross-curricular approach and are tailored to suit the educational needs of your group.

This session offers pupils the opportunity to:

  • Look at examples of the artists’ work.

  • Use a range of natural materials to produce creative 2 or 3D work.

  • Work collaboratively.

  • Share ideas.

  • Talk about their work.
