Protect the natural world for generations to come

At the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, we’re dedicated to harnessing the power of plants to end the extinction crisis and secure a future for all life on Earth.

By leaving just a small percentage of your estate as a gift in your Will, you’re helping to sustain the gardens for future generations, as well as making a distinctive and substantial contribution to a greener, more sustainable planet.

As a charity, we rely on this critical support, not only to sustain the gardens but to protect global plant and fungal biodiversity for the benefit of our planet and humanity.

The difference you will make

Our experts have been at the forefront of cataloguing, protecting and researching plant and fungal life for centuries.

Today, we have over 400 partnerships across over 180 countries, and we continue to conduct leading scientific research and conservation work.

We’re uncovering the solutions plants and fungi offer to humanity’s most critical challenges, from cleaning the air we breathe to providing the food we eat.

In doing so, we are tackling the impacts of climate change, food insecurity and biodiversity loss, protecting untold lives and livelihoods and using our trusted voice to shape policy and practice worldwide.

Together, we will end the extinction crisis and help create a world where nature is protected, valued by all and managed sustainably.

But we simply cannot continue this essential work without our supporters.

How to leave a gift in your Will

Gifts, including legacy gifts, to a charity are inheritance tax free, and if you leave more than 10% to a charity like Kew you can reduce the amount of tax you pay on your remaining taxable estate.

If you would like to include Kew in your Will, you can create or update your Will with any practicing solicitor.

If you need to update your current Will, we suggest you contact your solicitor to ensure that the changes you make are legally-binding.

When you are ready to make or update your Will and would like to leave a gift to Kew, here is the essential information you will need for your solicitor:

Name: Foundation and Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

Address: Richmond, TW9 3AB

Charity Number: 803428
