The identification and curation of Asian Euphorbiaceae and Phyllanthaceae, in particular, New Guinea material

My role as an Assistant Curator for the Asian Team involves maintaining and improving the Herbarium collections. My role includes:

  • The identification of incoming material (in particular New Guinea Euphorbiaceae and Phyllanthaceae)
  • Incorporation of material into the collections
  • Rearrangement of the collections according to new revisions
  • Updating the collection databases
  • Looking after researchers visiting the Herbarium and answering enquiries via e-mail

I also support teaching activities within Identification and Naming and contribute to Kew’s science communication activities.
