Jennifer Peach

UK Flora Collections Assistant

Jennifer Peach

My role is split between field, lab and office at Kew's Millennium Seed Bank to assist with the UK Flora Project outputs. In the lab, I am working with species which have been found to be difficult to store or germinate (particularly micro-seeded species such as Orchidaceae and aquatic plants) to better understand germination and storage requirements, longevity and post-harvest handling. I plan and participate in field trips across the UK to make seed collections of a range of UK species including data, herbarium specimen and tissue sample collections. I am also involved in research, training, data management and facilitating seed collections made by project partners.
