Curtis's Botanical Magazine
A long-established academic journal that provides an international forum for botanists and horticulturists, plant ecologists and those with a special interest in botanical illustration.

Curtis's Botanical Magazine is the world’s longest running, continuously published botanical periodical featuring original colour illustrations of plants.
Founded in 1787 it is still relevant in the 21st century as an international forum for botanists, horticulturists, plant ecologists and those with a special interest in botanical illustration.
The journal publishes detailed but accessible papers that combine horticultural and botanical information with such topics as the history, conservation, ecology and economic uses of a global range of plants.
The majority of articles include full colour paintings, commissioned from world-leading botanical artists, executed in fine detail.
By highlighting our understanding of biodiversity through the papers it publishes the journal contributes to the plant sciences, providing a valuable foundation on which to engage the world with increasingly important issues such as biodiversity loss, food security and the impact of our changing climate.
