Vicky Philpott
Seed Collections Assistant

I carry out the initial receipt and assessment of incoming seed bank collections, followed by the cleaning, x-raying, counting, banking and germination-testing of the received collections. I set germination conditions for the germination tests undertaken by my team and enter results onto the Seed Bank Database. I help supervise volunteers when necessary and train visitors and new staff as required. I am responsible for the germination of fern and orchid collections when necessary.
