I am interested in how species distributions in the UK flora change in space and time and how genome size influences these dynamics. Using historic distribution data, maps of land use change and experimental sites with different nutrient regimes, I investigate how genome size contributes to the determination of plant species’ spreads. This data will help generate models to make projections about how future changes in land use, climate and pollution may affect plant distributions across the British Isles.
