Biography

As Digital Collections Unit Officer I assist in the management of Kew’s internationally important herbarium digital collections, increasing coverage, accuracy and accessibility to collections through data cleaning and data imports. I am responsible for the care, maintenance and management of the DCU equipment, including several models of high-resolution digital cameras and for identifying priority areas for improvement and development, as well as any issues arising from current digitisation practices. My role also involves the training of staff, visitors and volunteers in digitisation techniques, digital image and data management and protocols relating to data and image release.
