Botanical Specimen Preparer
Preparation and mounting of botanical specimens for the collection including the maintenance and repair of individual specimens. Demonstrating mounting techniques to the Kew standard to visitors/horticultural students. To undertake all the mounting/repair needs of the Millennium Seed Bank Project and to bring gifts/duplicates up to the archival quality expected. To complete individual projects as and when required using the skills and bespoke materials to update previous non archival specimens to the Kew standard.
Special Kew roles:
MSBP mounting and paper auditing and supply to the unit.
