My role is to assess the extinction risk of plant species, with a main focus in the Americas. My main interest is in using data from herbarium specimens to explore plants' ecological niches and conservation status. My work contributes to a suite of indicators attempting to respond to the 2020 biodiversity targets, and to answer a key science question: 'What plant and fungal diversity is under threat and what needs to be conserved to provide resilience to global change?’
