Kew's Director of Science, Professor Kathy J Willis, was interviewed for an episode of The Life Scientific, broadcast this morning on BBC Radio 4.

Presenter Jim Al-Khalili talked to Kathy about the future of biodiversity, the importance of science communication and Kew's plans to make its science more accessible to the public. 

Kathy discusses her distinguished academic career in biodiversity, including fieldwork carried out in the New Forest and the Galapagos Islands.
