Within Kew’s Economic Botany Collection of over 100,000 artefacts, lie tales of individuals who have contributed to our knowledge of useful plants, but who’s stories have remained untold.  

Here, Historian Caroline Cornish gives a voice to one such individual, Eleanor Ormerod (1828-1901) – a leading figure in the study of insects.
