Back for a second series, Channel 5 was granted unprecedented access to Kew and Wakehurst to capture the fascinating life in our gardens.

The new six-part documentary series, Kew Gardens: A Year in Bloom, takes you behind the scenes of our world-leading horticulture and science, and includes never-before-seen footage.

Spanning a year, spring through to winter, the six hour-long episodes showcase the changing seasons and expert teams who care for the plants and perform world-changing scientific research uncovering the power of plants.

Building on the stories from series one, episode highlights include rare blooms seen for the first time in ten years; Wakehurst's transformation into a living laboratory to battle climate change; and Kew's quest to secure the coffee plants of the future.

Don't miss the return of our much-loved ‘tree gangs’ tackling mammoth challenges from scaling steep ravines at Wakehurst and contending with ducks scuppering their plans at Kew Gardens.

Kew Gardens: A Year in Bloom returns to Channel 5 from Tuesday 19 July at 8pm for six consecutive weeks.
