The Temperate House

Our breath-taking Temperate House is home to 1,500 species of plants from five of the world’s continents.

From Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific Islands, more than 10,000 individual plants are growing here, inside the world’s largest Victorian glasshouse.

There are stunning flowering species, unique specimens and important plants used for scientific research.
