Saving endangered plants in the Alps
A staggering 4,500 plant species are found in the Alps, 500 of these are found nowhere else in the world.
The Alps are one of the most biodiverse regions in Europe, and are home to a staggering 4,500 plant species.
But climate change and the development of tourism is threatening the Alpine habitat and its plants.
The Alpine seed conservation and research network, part of the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership, is working to conserve 500 plant species.
