This summer Kew Gardens will be transformed into an outdoor cinema set against the backdrop of historic Kew Palace. Showing are classic films Ghostbusters, Pulp Fiction and Grease (sing-a-long). The open air screenings are 30 August, 6 and 7 September 2017. In collaboration with The Luna Cinema.
There’s something for everyone in our magical after dark experience. Our one mile sparkling trail winds its way through the gardens, illuminating trees and buildings and boasting over one million twinkling lights. From 22 November to 1 January 2018.
Go behind the scenes on this guided walk which features a different plant or fungus each month. You'll meet Kew's experts and gain an insight into the science and history of the plant and see where it grows in the Gardens. The featured plant for August is Salvia.
To mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of Victorian Britain's most important scientists, Joseph Hooker (1817–1911), Kew is holding an exhibition of a selection of his photographs, journals and paintings. Daily until 17 September.
