Explore the incredible winter landscape at Kew with your family and re-connect with the natural world.

Experience Kew's wintry landscape and discover our Natural Area. Stroll along our woodland trails, spot seasonal highlights, and immerse yourself in nature. 

Woodland walks 

Join a guided stroll along the woodland walk and wonder at the beauty and diversity of some of Kew's favourite trees during their dormant period. 

30 minute walks at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm

Meet at the big table

Tree-mendous tales 

Step inside our cosy tent to learn the secrets of winter plants. Discover which tree is the King of the Forest and how the snowdrop got its colour. 

15 minute stories at 11am, 11.30am and 12 noon

Meet at the festival tent 

Ensonglopedia of Plants 

Sing and laugh along with this brand new collection of songs about what trees get up to in winter. Expect the unexpected, and expect it to rhyme.

15 minute song sessions at 1pm, 1.30pm and 2pm

Forest finds

Pick up a spotting sheet and look out for seasonal things to find as you explore the Natural Area.

11am — 2.30pm

Tour: Seasonal highlights 

It may be winter but the Gardens still have amazing seasonal plants waiting to be discovered.

12 noon (register from 15 minutes before) 

Meet at the Guides Desk at Victoria Plaza

Groups of 6+ must book a bespoke tour (fee applies) on 020 8332 5604.

Food and drink 

Treat yourself to winter warmers from our Victoria Plaza and Pavilion restaurants. 

Choose from our delicious seasonal range, including stollen, mince pies and gingerbread, as well as warm spiced drinks and hot chocolate.
