About Orchids After Hours

It's time to say Hola! Colombia as our Orchids After Hours events take you far away from the dark British winter and catapult you into a bright carnival of orchids!

Enjoy exclusive access to the tropical paradise of The Princess of Wales Conservatory after dark and wander amongst the vibrant displays of orchids after the crowds have left for the day.

It’ll feel like you’re in Colombia as you and your friends:

Feel the rhythm – the carnival atmosphere gets in full swing with live Latin big band and tropical fusion music raising the roof of the glasshouse.

Taste the buzz – sample authentic Colombian coffee, considered the best coffee in the world. Enjoy a multi-sensory journey through the tumultuous history of coffee in Colombia at these fun, interactive short talks.

Get crafty – get ready for carnival as you make your own floral headdress or mask good enough to join a parade.

Move to the beat – see amazing Colombian dancers in dazzling costumes performing everything from traditional folkloric dance through to tango, salsa and street dance! Be inspired to learn the moves yourself.
