With headline acts from James Blunt to Bananarama, our summer concerts are the must-see outdoor concerts of the season.

Headliner Bananarama will be joined by legendary vocalist Gabrielle and X-Factor alumni Rebecca Ferguson for an ultimate summer night out.  

With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, multiple BRIT-Award nominations and an entry into the Guiness Book of World Records for the most chart entries by a female group with 32 Top 40 UK hits, Bananarama are an era-defining group whose legacy and influence continues to endure. 

Timeless classics including ‘Shy Boy’, ‘Cruel Summer’ and ‘Really Saying Something’. Since their transition to a duo in the early 90s, Bananarama have shown no sign of slowing down, releasing a further six studio albums with their most recent project ‘In Stereo’ arriving in 2019.  

Famed for her raspy tones, Gabrielle redefined what a female pop star in the 90s could be. Using her sweet vocals and gift for songwriting as an anchor, Gabrielle has been responsible for some of the UK’s most pre-eminent hits. 

Best known for her appearance on the seventh series of the X-Factor in 2010, Rebecca Ferguson and her vintage vocal stylings, to date has released four critically-acclaimed albums, all reaching the UK Top 10.

8 July: James Blunt

The five-time Grammy nominated and multiple BRIT award winning artist James Blunt is no stranger to festival spotlight and will the wow crowds at Kew the Music in July.

After numerous successes since his debut ‘Back to Bedlam’ in 2004, the record that brought us You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover, James returned in October 2019 with ‘Once Upon A Mind’. The record has a warmth that permeates the entirety and a real sense of personality. Well known for his wit and charm, James has sold over 23 million albums and is a definite must-see live.

9 July: Jack Savoretti

Jack has enjoyed a slow burn success, back in 2006 he was spotted by Corinne Bailey Rae and invited to join her on her European tour. By 2015, his fourth album ‘Written in Scars’ was catapulted into the upper reaches of the charts.

In 2018 he dueted with Kylie Minogue on ‘Golden’ and this year, the husky voiced singer has moved from strength to strength, making 2019 his biggest year yet. His latest No 1 album ‘Singing to Strangers’ includes work with legendary Bob Dylan and this headline slot is a great addition to his long list of well earned achievements.

10 July: Will Young + James Morrison

Having recently released the infectious summer anthem My Love from his latest album ‘Lexicon’, Will Young is back stronger than ever. With an impressive résumé including the biggest single of the noughties with ‘Anything is Possible/Evergreen’, two BRIT awards and four No 1 albums, homegrown favourite Will Young is a seasoned pop star worth watching.

Boasting a devoted following, 7 million album sales and a BRIT award, James Morrison co-headlines Kew the Music’s Friday night slot. His five Top 10 singles all rank among the biggest of their era, including the breakthrough smashes ‘You Give Me Something’ and ‘Wonderful World’. Bringing a gritty performance style and world-class songwriting, the ‘once-in-a-generation’ voice has returned to music with an honest but triumphant new project. His new single ‘So Beautiful’ has already amassed more than six million listens on Spotify.

11 July: DJ Spoony

The popularity of garage has remained consistent since its inception over 20 years ago, when it swept across the airwaves, clubs, charts and streets of Britain. DJ Spoony is at the forefront of the genre inspiring a new generation of garage artists.

This godfather of garage is heading to the capital in 2020. The show is packed full of re-imagined classics such as ‘Flowers’, ‘21 Seconds’ and ‘Sweet Like Chocolate’ and it features vocals from iconic artists such as Sugababes, Paloma Faith, Lily Allen, Emeli Sandé, Raleigh Ritchie and many more. Now, DJ Spoony is bringing music fans a high-energy, hi-octane show and a re-ignited passion for garage, but this time with a classical twist…

12 July: Gipsy Kings

With little need of introduction, party favourites and spectacular performers, Gipsy Kings will close Kew the Music 2020.

One of the most successful Spanish language bands of the last 40 years with their 1989 self-titled album spending 40 weeks on the US charts and their top 5 songs amassing over 160 million listens on Spotify. Known for their infectious tunes and jubilant performances, this combination has kept them consistently in demand for over four decades.

Parking Please note there is no parking available at Kew for the Kew the Music event. Please check the Transport for London website for further information regarding parking in the area.

Which gate should I use?

Customers can enter the site through either Victoria or Elizabeth Gate, whichever is most convenient. The walk from either entrance gate to the arena is approximately 500 metres. If you need to collect tickets, please enter via Victoria Gate as you will need to collect your tickets from the box office at this gate.

Customers for the VIP packages will find it easiest to use Elizabeth Gate.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink, or to enjoy refreshments at the open-air bars and tasty street food stalls.
