Iconic glasshouses

Join us for an hour-long tour to discover Kew's iconic glasshouses. You'll visit at least one of our major glasshouses - the Temperate House, Palm House or the Princess of Wales conservatory.

Our glasshouses are living laboratorys that support a diversity of plants from different regions and recreate a variety of climates. Many plants in our collections are endangered in the wild, some even extinct, and are studied by Kew scientists for research into medicines.

Learn about the architecture of these impressive buildings, the superstar plants that thrive inside of them, and why these plants are so scientifically important.
