1) Substantial bibliographic datasets:
Graham Simpson's Bibliography of References Related to Seed Dormancy and/or Germination in Higher Plants.

Kew' own Plant Micromorphology Bibliographic Database currently contains well over 6,000 items covering seed and/or fruit structure.

For UK species, there is much seed ecological and related information in the Ecological Flora Database. Also the LEDA-traitbase contains information on a number of seed traits for European species, but not currently germination characteristics.

2) Useful information for gardeners, including seed germination conditions:
http://www.backyardgardener.com/tm.html
Seed germination conditions for a wide range of garden and house plants

http://www.fairchildgarden.org/horticulture/palmseed.html
Information on how to germinate palm seeds

http://www.rhs.org.uk
This is the website for the Royal Horticultural Society and contains a wide range of gardening hints and tips

3) For more germination information, try the Species Compendium database at http://www.bioversityinternational.org/Themes/Genebanks/Species_Compendium/default.asp where you can also access online, the long out of print, but valuable 'Compendium of Specific Germination Information and Test Recommendations' by Ellis, Hong and Roberts.

4) For more information on seed oil contents see 'SOFA' - Seed Oil Fatty Acids at http://www.bagkf.de/sofa

A diverse variety of other useful seed and plant biology, educational and conservation links are available via the Millennium Seed Bank Project homepage
