This section provides a general seasonal guide. The dates below are approximate, and flowering can vary by three to four weeks, depending on the weather.

Sir Henry Price Garden

June: Giant Himalayan lilies (Cardiocrinum giganteum), blue poppies (Meconopsis) and Primula in the Water Garden. Wild flowers including common spotted orchid (Dactylorhiza fuchsii) in Westwood Valley. Various shrubs in the Specimen Beds.

July - August: Mixed herbaceous plantings in the Water Garden. Wild flowers in Westwood Valley.

July - September: Mixed cottage plantings in the Sir Henry Price Garden. Summer bedding in the Pleasaunce. Tender plantings in the West Mansion Border.

August: Hypericum, Hydrangea and Agapanthus in the Specimen Beds. Hedychium in the Monocotyledon Border. Eucryphia in the Southern Hemisphere Garden.
