This section provides a general seasonal guide. The dates below are approximate, and flowering can vary by three to four weeks, depending on the weather.

September: Mixed cottage plantings in the Sir Henry Price Garden. Summer bedding in the Pleasaunce. Tender plantings in the West Mansion Border. Polygonum affine in the Slips. Polygonum vacciniifolium in the Himalayan Glade.

October: Seed heads of giant Himalayan lily (Cardiocrinum giganteum) and other plants in the Water Garden.

October - November: Autumn colour in the Oaks, the Slips, Westwood Valley and Horsebridge Wood.

November: Winter Garden.
