Magical Meadows Festival

Celebrate the beauty and importance of meadows, the plants that make them special, and the traditions and wildlife that depend on them, at the Magical Meadows Summer Festival.

plan your visit

There's something for everyone

Step back in time to see teams of cutters put their scythes to the test as they compete in our inaugural Scything and Cider Festival in July or learn how hay was harvested in the traditional fashion during the Bringing in the Hay weekend in August.

You can visit the ‘Meadow Folk’ exhibition which runs till the end of the year or put your botanical knowledge to the test in the Magical Meadows Wildflower Challenge trail from May to August.

Weave your way around the Gardens by following our new ‘Inspired by Nature’ willow sculpture trail, featuring some of our most iconic wildflowers, amazing seed pods and mega mushrooms.
