50 Years of Kew at Wakehurst
This year marks the golden jubilee of Kew’s management of the Wakehurst Estate.
Much has been achieved, from the Millennium Seed Bank project and the creation of the Loder Valley and Francis Rose Nature Reserves to the introduction of the Visitor Centre and the Seed and Stables restaurant. Wakehurst has become a world class visitor attraction.
We look forward to celebrating with you at our anniversary events taking place throughout 2015.
Wakehurst big summer adventure
25 July to 6 September. Join us during the summer holiday for fun children's activities.
26 to 27 September. Celebrate the new season with a family weekend at Wakehurst. Get gardening tips and advice from our experts, see seasonal displays from local gardening societies and browse artisan craft stalls with everything from gates and fences to plants and food. There will be also be plenty of fun activities for the children.
Eat and drink
Stop for a bite to eat in the Seed Café with its panoramic views and open-air terrace, or visit The Stables, a licenced self-service family restaurant, where you can enjoy lunch or afternoon tea.
