The Feeling & The Noisettes
We’re delighted that British pop band The Feeling have confirmed they will headline a one-off show for the opening night of Kew the Music on Wednesday 6 July, for a double-bill with The Noisettes .
The Feeling first hit the UK music scene in 2006, with their multi-platinum selling debut album Twelve Stops and Home. It was followed by 2008’s no.1 album Join With Us and now, after over a million UK album sales and a slew of memorable hit singles under their belts - including Fill My Little World, Never Be Lonely and Love It When You Call - The Feeling are back! Their third, eagerly awaited album is out this summer, following the release of their single Set My World On Fire, as featured on the BBC's Cricket World Cup coverage.
The Noisettes’ infectious, original and upbeat sound has successfully penetrated the British music scene with dizzying speed in the past three years delighting listeners of all musical sects. Described as ‘the best live band in Britain’ by The Guardian, the London trio are renowned the world over for their explosive live shows and electrifying vocals. Their second album Wild Young Hearts was hailed as a modern day classic with its set of sleek pop songs steeped in soul, dizzy on disco and harking back to the days of blues and jazz greats. Along with all their hits, they’ll be previewing material from their much anticipated third album, due to be released in July 2011. Expect the unexpected!
Sharp suit, lightning wit, dazzling piano skills and killer songs, Joe Stilgoe burst on to the scene with the release of his debut album ‘I Like This One’ in 2009, and in between playing in jazz clubs around the world he has been back in the studio recording the follow-up. His live shows are a joyous mix of incredible musicianship and sheer entertainment, much honed from a jam-packed schedule which has seen him play in New York, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, and jazz clubs from Wigan to Woking to the legendary Ronnie Scott’s in London. Joe’s is a star rising fast, as validated by Sir Michael Parkinson - “…a truly remarkable singer songwriter, not to mention outstanding piano player… I thank you for creating that most exciting of moments when, as a lover of good music, you know you have seen and heard something remarkable.
