Orchids 2013
Orchids 2013 was such a success it was extended for an extra week to take in Mother's Day. The Princess of Wales Conservatory was transformed into a sea of exotic orchids. We also held our usual courses on orchids where you could learn to grow them yourself and gain practical tips on orchid care.
Christmas 2012
Our magical Christmas festival ran from 8 December 2012 to 6 January 2013 with plenty of treats and surprises for all the family. We had a special seasonal lunch menu for you to enjoy in the Orangery accompanied by Christmas carols performed by local school children. There was a Christmas carousel and Santa's Grotto to entertain the children.
Kew the Movies 2012
This open-air summer film season took place in two magical botanical locations, at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst, in September 2012.

Kew the Music 2012
Kew the Music 2012 was a sublime summer music experience. For one glorious week in July, we celebrated world class music with a series of six outdoor picnic concerts set against the backdrop of the magnificent Victorian Temperate House.

2012 - Spring at Kew Gardens
Spring saw Kew Gardens blossom into the largest display of spring colour in the country - with over five million bulbs coming into bloom. Visitors could stroll around the Gardens to admire the flowers, and enjoy spring exhibitions, events and activities.
2012 - Easter, a Maya chocolate adventure
Our Easter festival in 2012 was all about chocolate! We invited families to explore our interactive Maya trail around the Gardens, and make something special to take home at a chocolate making and craft workshop.
2012 - Tropical Extravaganza
In February 2012, Kew's Princess of Wales Conservatory was transformed into a sea of exotic plants with amazing floral displays inspired by fire, air, water and earth to demonstrate the fascinating ways plants depend on and balance the effects of these elements.
2011 - Kew the Music
Kew the Music 2011 took place in July at Kew Gardens and celebrated world class music with a series of six outdoor picnic concerts set against the backdrop of the magnificent Victorian Temperate House. Headline Artists' included Bondie, Jools Holland, Jamie Cullum, The Feeling, Brian Ferry and Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club.
