Black Butt
Black Butt was originally made from the base of an elm tree that had succumbed to Dutch elm disease. It was quite rotten, so Nash cut out all the obvious spots of decay. He then charred it for his 2010 Yorkshire Sculpture Park show, where he paired it with Black Trunk. Now in bronze, it is shown separately here at Kew Gardens.

Iron Dome

Cork Dome
Cork Dome is the sculpture Nash is most excited about. It is an entirely new work, built onsite at Kew Gardens. It's also the first Nash has made from cork oak. He was inspired to make it while visiting the cork harvest in Portugal.
