Aesculus indica and Platanus orientalis by Masumi Yamanaka
Masumi will be in the Gallery with some of her own paintings to show her painting and drawing techniques. There will also be the opportunity to try botanical illustration for yourself. Masumi welcomes observers and any questions throughout the sessions.
Masumi holds an RHS Gold Medal for her accurate and beautiful paintings. She works as a freelance artist for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and her work is on display in our current exhibition Bulbmania - Flowers from the Kew Collection in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art.
