Sketch of Nymphaea thermarum
This five-day course is suitable for beginners or more experienced artists. You will learn how to make your own beautiful sketchbook from scratch before filling it with sketches, field notes and colour studies of plants using the collections in the Gardens and glasshouses for inspiration.
The first two days will be spent making your sketchbook using a variety of paper finishes and bindings. Then days three to five will be spent learning how to fill it creatively using pencil and colour wash. When you leave you’ll take with you a treasured, and very personal, memento of your artistic week at Kew!
