Kew Gardens is home to many beautiful and historic buildings that wonderfully complement the natural form of the managed Gardens. The aim of this five-day course is for you to get to know some of these buildings better by drawing them. In addition, by learning watercolour-compatible techniques, you will be able to incorporate them into your own work to enhance your own artistic interpretations.

Weather permitting, the first four mornings will be spent in the gardens, sketching and making colour notes on some of the buildings. Afternoon classroom sessions will be given over to experimenting with various techniques and media. Having produced a variety of possible solutions you may choose one or more images to work up into a finished piece of work by the end of the week.
