Getting to Christmas at Kew

We strongly encourage the use of public transport on event evenings as parking in the area is very limited

Gates and parking

There are two entrances for Christmas at Kew.

The main entrance is at Victoria Gate. Alternatively, limited prepaid parking is available at Ferry Lane Car Park, with an entry ticket at Brentford Gate. Parking tickets must be booked in advance to guarantee your space. The address for Ferry Lane Car Park, is Ferry Lane, off Kew Green, TW9 3AF. A prepaid parking supplement of £7 applies. On-site parking at this car park is limited to just 340 spaces each night.

Other local parking

If you have not purchased reserved parking at Ferry Lane Car Park, local parking is otherwise limited and we suggest you allow extra time to find a space. We do encourage you to use public transport where possible.

Drop-off/pick-up area: There is a designated drop-off/pick-up area on Kew Road (A317) between junctions of Lichfield Road and Holmesdale Road, approx 100m from Victoria Gate, the main entrance. The area will be coned off and will have signage to mark it.

By London Underground

Kew Gardens Station (District Line — Richmond branch and London Overground) is the closest London Underground station, and is in zone 3.

Kew Gardens Station is 400 metres from the Victoria Gate entrance to the Gardens. Exit the station past the parade of shops, cross Sandycombe Road at the zebra crossing and walk down Lichfield Road (opposite) to reach Victoria Gate.

If you are a wheelchair user or find stairs difficult, there is no direct accessible exit to Kew Gardens from the westbound platform. It is advisable to continue your journey to Richmond (one stop) and catch a tube or train back to Kew Gardens, where the eastbound platform leads out via a level exit to the Kew village area. From here it is a distance of approximately 400 metres to the Victoria Gate entrance to the Gardens on Kew Road.

By train

The bus stop for the local bus route which travels in the direction of Kew Gardens (65, in the direction of Ealing Broadway) is on the opposite side of the street from the station.
