This week-long conference at Kew will discuss topics related to the flora of Thailand and the ‘European connection’.

Planned sessions

Sessions are planned on the following topics:

  • Systematics and taxonomy of Thai plants
  • Floristics of Thailand at national and regional level
  • Conservation and the Thai Flora
  • Europe and the Flora of Thailand: past, present and future

We are also interested in receiving ideas for new themes. You can find details on how to submit a suggestion at the bottom of this page.

  • Accommodation in single, ensuite rooms, with breakfast, at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, can be booked when you register.
  • Bookings will be taken for six nights, arriving 7 September, departing 13 September, at a cost of £270.
  • St Mary’s is 30 - 60 minutes from Kew by bus or train. If you book this accommodation a travel card (called an Oyster card) will be provided, with enough money on it for your first two bus journeys. You can top up the card at many locations and the card can be used for bus, Underground and local train journeys.
  • A range of other accommodation options in the local area is available. Please note that we can only book accommodation at St Mary’s University. Delegates wishing to use other options must make their own bookings directly.
