Kew education sessions

Inspire and engage learners with our hands-on programmes – it's the best way to get the most from your visit. All our education sessions meet curriculum targets across a range of subjects including science, geography, art, maths, English and more. We can cater for different ages, abilities and learning needs.

Led by one of our skilled and knowledgeable teachers, the session includes:

  • hands-on, curriculum-linked activities led by a Kew teacher
  • small group sizes (15 per group)
  • entry for students and education staff for the day
  • a meet-and-greet at Victoria Gate
  • free entry for two teachers to plan their school visit

Self-led

Our basic visit package includes:

  • entry for students and education staff for the day
  • a meet-and-greet at Victoria Gate
  • free entry for two teachers to plan their school visit

New programmes for 2015

Between February and April, our new programmes for KS1–3 launched. The new programmes feature engaging topics and improved content linked to the new national curriculum, and science at Kew.

Lunch at Kew

There is a new "education groups only" external, sheltered eating area, situated opposite Climbers and Creepers. Look out for our "schools @ kew" flags to find us. We recommend visiting the toilets opposite and washing your hands before your timeslot. There are also hand sanitizers available.
