Group visits to Kew Gardens

The world's most famous garden, Kew boasts acres of beautiful landscaped grounds featuring plant specimens from around the world. With Kew's spectacular glasshouses, botanical art galleries and Britain's most intimate royal palace, it's the perfect day out for groups of all ages. Kew Gardens is open every day except 24 and 25 December. 

Seasonal opening times

Discounted rates are available for groups of 10 or more paying guests until 31 March 2015, and for 15 or more people from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016.

Kew Explorer

Kew Explorer land train
Take a leisurely and informative trip around Kew’s 326-acre site on board our driver-guided land train. This hop-on, hop-off service can be pre-booked to help your group make the most of their visit to the Gardens.

Catering

Kew has a number of different self-service restaurants and cafés within the Gardens and we are delighted to be able to offer a selection of pre-bookable catering options for groups. 

Choose from:

Cake and cup of tea on a table in the Orangery

  • Tea break – tea or filter coffee with a slice of loaf cake - £3.75 per person
  • Cream tea – traditional scone with jam and clotted cream served with tea or filter coffee - £4.50 per person
  • Soup or sandwich lunch – served with tea or filter coffee - £6 per person

Private and guided tours

Our award-winning guides offer private tours on a variety of themes including “An Introduction to Kew”, “Seasonal Highlights” and “Tapestry of Trees”.  Bespoke tours can also be arranged by contacting our tours coordinator.

Community groups
Kew works in partnership with community-based organisations, groups and individuals to develop and deliver creative projects and events inspired by the Gardens. Through this work we aim to engage with a wider and more diverse audience, encourage a sense of ownership and increase participation and interaction with the Gardens.
