Please note  

From 14 to 16 May, some sections of the Gardens will be closed for essential arboricultural works. This mostly affects the Conservation Area and Sackler Crossing. All galleries, glasshouses, catering facilities and the majority of the Gardens are unaffected.

Please also note that the Orangery Restaurant will close at 4pm on Saturday 12 May.

The Xstrata Treetop Walkway lift is in service and available for disabled and mobility impaired visitors. Visitors are encouraged to use the stairs where possible ensuring the lift remains available to those that need it most. Children’s pushchairs are not permitted on the walkway.

The Gardens close at 6.30pm on weekdays and at 7.30pm at weekends and Bank Holidays.

The Badger Sett is closed until July for essential maintenance.

Please note that the Palm House will be closing early at 2.00pm each Tuesday afternoon until further notice.

In the late 18th century, this thatched cottage was a private haven for Queen Charlotte and her family, a place for secluded royal picnicking and leisure time. Open weekends and Bank Holidays from 11am to 4pm from Saturday 7 April until Sunday 30 September 2012.
