Introduction to the Gardens
Tours leave at 11am and 1.30pm. Each guide presents their own tour, taking in the highlights of the season, exploring the exotic plants in the glasshouses and explaining the history and work of Kew.

Themed tour
Tours leave at 12pm. Our guides offer a variety of fascinating themed tours. Every summer (May to September) Kew hosts a Summer Festival and guides offer themed tours linked to the festival. At other times of the year, our guides offer seasonal tours such as Autumn Colour, Winter Evergreens and Spring Buds.

Signed walking tour
Tours leave at 11.30am on the first Sunday of every month, apart from in April when the tour will take place on Sunday 12 April. Our signed tour guides offer a fascinating overview of the gardens, its history and important scientific work for visitors with hearing loss. Participation on these tours include free entry to the Gardens on a 6 month trial period from 1 March 2015. Booking is on a first come first served basis; please register your interest at least 15 minutes prior to tour start time. Tours start from Victoria Plaza and last approximately 90 minutes. Maximum of 10 people per tour. For further information, including groups, please contact: tours@kew.org or call 020 8332 5643/5604.

What's on

Group walking tours

If you are a group of adults you may wish to pre-book a guided walking tour, taking in the highlights of the season and exploring the history, glasshouses and work of Kew. Choose from a general tour which takes in the highlights of the season or a themed tour on a specialist topic.

Pre-booked group tours normally start from the Guides Desk at Victoria Plaza, however other meeting points can be arranged if required. Tours are given in English although we can offer general tours in French, Gujarati, Hindi, Italian, Japanese and British Sign Language (at a basic level) depending on availability.

Price
The cost is £50 per guide (this does not include your entry to the Gardens). Each guide can take up to 15 people. Groups of more than 15 must book more than one guide. Smaller groups are also accepted but the cost remains £50.

Tours take approximately 1 hour and may be booked from 10am every day throughout the year except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (24 and 25 December) when the Gardens are closed. Please note that no refunds can be given once booked.

Booking
Please complete the Group Walking Tour booking form by the tenth day of the month prior to your visit. For example, return the form by 10 June for a July visit. Tours booked after this time depend upon guide availability. If uncertain of the final numbers in your party, you may provide an estimate.

Email your form to tours@kew.org or post to:

Late arrival and cancellation
Important: Guides are requested to wait up to 30 minutes for their groups, although they are not obliged to do so. If your group is running late, please call the Kew Information Desk on 020 8332 5697 and ask them to inform the guide(s). If your group arrives late and the guide has gone, we cannot refund the cost of the tour(s). Nor can we offer refunds for tour cancellations once the booking has been processed.

Tours for individuals
